Cookie Policy

Which cookies and similar technologies regmount.com uses, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can manage your consent, browser settings and Global Privacy Control.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how RegMount (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on regmount.com (the “Site”). It describes what these technologies are, which ones we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

In brief: We use only the cookies needed to run the store, keep the Site secure and remember your choices, unless you agree to more. Analytics cookies are used only if analytics is enabled and only after you consent. YouTube videos do not load or set cookies until you click to play them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit. They let the website recognize your browser on later page views or visits, for example to keep items in your shopping cart as you move from a product page to checkout.

Cookies can be described in several ways:

  • First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting (regmount.com). Third-party cookies are set by a different domain, such as a video platform.
  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them.

We also use similar technologies, such as browser local storage and session storage, for some of the same purposes. In this policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • keep your shopping cart and checkout working, including the cart count in the header;
  • keep you signed in to your customer account and protect your session;
  • protect the Site against bots, brute-force login attempts and other attacks;
  • remember your cookie consent choices so we do not ask on every page; and
  • only if you consent, understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve pages such as our fit guide and installation guide.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Categories of cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site to work and cannot be switched off in our consent tool. Without them, you could not add a RegMount to your cart, check out or log in. Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules in the EU and UK, these cookies do not require consent. Examples include:

  • WordPress login and session cookies (such as wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* and wordpress_test_cookie), which keep you signed in and secure your account session.
  • WooCommerce cart and session cookies (such as woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_*), which remember what is in your cart and connect your browser to your cart data.

3.2 Security cookies

We use Wordfence to protect the Site with a web application firewall and login security. For logged-in users, Wordfence may set a cookie such as wfwaf-authcookie-* so the firewall can recognize authenticated users and apply the correct rules. Wordfence may set other short-lived cookies to verify that a visitor is a real browser or to protect login pages. Security cookies are treated as strictly necessary.

3.3 Consent cookies

Our cookie banner is powered by CookieYes. It sets the cookieyes-consent cookie to record whether you accepted, rejected or customized cookie categories, so we can honor your choice on every page and on future visits. This cookie does not track you across other websites.

3.4 Preference cookies

Preference (or functional) cookies remember choices that make the Site more convenient, such as dismissing a notice or remembering recently viewed products. Where these are not strictly necessary, we use them only if you allow the “Functional” category in our consent tool.

3.5 Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If we enable an analytics service on the Site, it may set cookies that help us understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and which devices they use. Analytics cookies are not set unless analytics is enabled on the Site and you have given consent by selecting “Accept” or enabling the “Analytics” category. Where possible, we configure analytics to minimize data, for example by truncating IP addresses. The names of analytics cookies depend on the provider and will be shown in our consent tool if they are used.

3.6 Embedded video (YouTube, only after click)

Videos on our videos page and in blog posts are embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) with a click-to-load preview. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click play. After you click, YouTube, a Google service, may set cookies or use local storage on its own domains to play the video, remember player preferences, measure views and detect abuse. These are third-party cookies controlled by YouTube under its own privacy policy.

4. Cookies used on our Site

The table below lists the main cookies you may encounter on regmount.com. Exact names, numbers and durations may vary with software updates, your browser, your consent choices and the pages you visit. Our consent tool shows the current list of cookies detected on the Site.

Tip: If your cart empties unexpectedly or you cannot log in, check that your browser is not blocking first-party cookies for regmount.com. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the cart and checkout to work.

5. How to manage your cookie consent

When you first visit the Site, the CookieYes banner gives you clear options:

  • Accept all: allows all cookie categories, including analytics if enabled.
  • Reject all: allows only strictly necessary cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
  • Customize: lets you turn individual non-essential categories on or off.

You can change your mind at any time by clicking the cookie settings link or the floating cookie button on the Site, usually found in the footer or corner of the page. Your new choice takes effect immediately. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before you withdrew it, but we will stop setting the relevant cookies from that point forward, and you can delete any already set using your browser settings.

Your consent choices are stored for up to 12 months. After that, or if we materially change the cookies we use, we will ask you again.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. You can usually find these controls in your browser’s settings under “Privacy,” “Security” or “Site data.” Options typically include:

  • blocking all cookies or only third-party cookies;
  • deleting cookies when you close the browser;
  • clearing cookies and site data for a specific website; and
  • browsing in a private or incognito window, which discards cookies at the end of the session.

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the cart, checkout and account login from working. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you will need to set your preferences on each one.

7. Global Privacy Control

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a signal your browser can send to tell websites you do not want your personal information sold or shared. We honor GPC: when we detect it, we treat it as an opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser and, where our consent tool supports it, keep non-essential cookies such as analytics switched off by default. You can learn more about GPC at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Our Site does not respond to the older “Do Not Track” browser signal because there is no common standard for it, but we do not use cross-site advertising cookies in any case. See section 11 of our Privacy Policy for more detail.

8. Third-party cookies

When third-party content is loaded, such as a YouTube video after you click play, the third party may set its own cookies. We do not control those cookies, and they are governed by the third party’s own privacy and cookie policies. Payment processors may also use cookies or similar technologies on their own checkout fields or pages to prevent fraud and process payments securely.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove features, change service providers, or when laws and guidance change. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where required, ask for your consent again through the cookie banner.
