Comfort and stability on every dive
The comfort chin stabilizer is a small part that makes a big difference. It rests lightly against your chin while the regulator is in your mouth, sharing the load of the camera so your jaw doesn’t have to hold it all. It also steadies the camera, so your footage bounces less when you kick, turn your head or swim into a bit of current.
A chin stabilizer comes in every RegMount kit. This is the genuine replacement, for when yours is worn, lost or damaged, or when you want a spare in your save-a-dive kit.
Signs it’s time for a new one
- You notice more jaw fatigue than you used to on longer dives.
- The camera feels wobbly or the footage is shakier than before.
- The stabilizer is cracked, torn, deformed or has gone missing.
- You’re setting up a second RegMount, for example on your octopus.

Compatibility
Designed to fit the RegMount adapter, which mounts to second stages with a body diameter of 2 3/8″ to 3 1/8″ (60–80 mm). It works with any camera you run on RegMount, including all versions of GoPro cameras and similar action cameras.
Fitting and adjustment
Attach the stabilizer to your RegMount, then put the regulator in your mouth and check its position. It should touch your chin lightly and carry some of the weight without pushing the mouthpiece up, out or sideways. If your jaw still tires on long dives, try a lighter camera frame or housing, and check that the camera isn’t sitting too far forward. The Accessory Pack can help you fine-tune its position. Care
Rinse in fresh water after every diving day and let it dry out of direct sun. UV and heat age soft parts faster, so store your regulator and RegMount in a cool, shaded spot. Inspect the stabilizer for cracks during your pre-dive check. While you’re at it, check your clamp too. A spare stainless steel replacement clamp is available.
